Clothing swaps are a great way to meet new people, save money, and you also help the environment. At clothing swaps you usually donate 5+ items and you can take home “new to you” clothes.

Happy February! I kicked off the first day of February by going to a clothing swap. Clothing swaps are a great way to meet new people, save money, and you also help the environment by recycling clothes. Depending on the clothing swap they are either free or charge a small fee. Most clothing swaps require you to donate 5+ items to enter, and you can usually take as much as you want at the clothing swap. However, please be mindful and do not hoard items from other people at the clothing swap.

For a recap of the clothing swap you can check my video here. In my video you can see the clothing swap layout, and the items I got from the clothing swap. This clothing swap was free to attend, and was very well organized. I would estimate that I easily saved $40 from going to this clothing swap instead of buying these clothes at a thrift shop. For steps on how to find a clothing swap, feel free to bookmark my article here. As always, please wash and dry your clothes from the clothing swap in hot water and high heat before wearing for sanitary reasons.
