Do you remember Blockbuster? I remember going there in the 2000s to rent movies, and now there is only 1 left! Going to the Blockbuster pop up was so nostalgic!

Happy New Year! Do you have a new year resolution for this year? My goal for 2020 is to learn more about travel hacking. I want to be better about points because who does not like saving money, free flights, and free hotel stays? That is my personal finance goal for 2020!

For this month’s free events expect pop ups from Tiffany & Co, Intersect by Lexus, Woolrich, Star Wars, and Jumanji. Some of the other events include a vision board workshop, Bumble Bff, comedy potluck, and a Sip and Read book club. In addition, get into your fitness new year resolution goals by burning off calories at dog yoga, hiking, cardio ballet, HIIT, runs, and yoga with journaling.

Saturday, 1/4/20

Guided hike with Fjällräven x Volvo (8am-8pm)

What:  The trip: This month we will be heading to the trail head in style as we take trip #1 in our new partnership with Volvo Cars Manhattan. We will meet at 8am at Volvo Cars Manhattan 565 11th Ave for a light complimentary breakfast provided by Volvo before loading up and driving north to Harriman state park at 8:30am. After arriving at the trail head we will trek northward on the Appalachian Trail for a 6-7 mile hike where we will enjoy a quiet winter forest, scenic views and exciting rock scrambles. After the completion of the hike we will load up and head over to District 96 Brewery for food and celebratory drinks (guests are responsible to pay for any purchases made at the brewery).

Sweaty Betty x The Ballet Spot (9am-10am)

What:  Created and taught by currently working professional dancers, this 60-minute Cardio Ballet class is designed to be an excellent conditioning and endurance workout for non-dancers and dancers alike. This is a special rendition of our signature Cardio Ballet Workout, all choreographed to Pop songs! Appropriate attire is exercise clothes and regular socks, sticky socks, or ballet slippers. Healing Through Awareness: Introduction to the Feldenkrais Method (7pm-8pm)

What: The Feldenkrais method is a type of exercise therapy that works with your nervous system. It taps into the innate healing potential of your brain and nervous system to bring about lasting improvements for your physical and emotional wellbeing. First half of the workshop is experiential: participants will be guided through a series of movements to help them naturally feel more balanced physically and emotionally.
